welcome!

Hi there!

My name is Lavinia Costantino and I am a professional storyteller, arts therapist and meditation teacher.

I was the kid who cried a lot, talked a lot, wrote and read way too many stories: being the emotional one was never easy, but it turned out into a treasure with age.

Today, I work with adults and kids to help them surf emotions safely and happily, and tap into their innate wisdom: what would the world look like, if we educated our hearts as much as we do with our brains?

My background:

I grew up between Italy and the States.

I graduated in History of Theatre and Dance and got trained as an actress at QuellidiGrock Performing Arts School in Milan, Italy. After working with kids and special need people, I trained as a dancetherapist (Maria Fux approach) and attended trainings to apply storytellings in therapeutic settings with Creative Arts Therapies in Glasgow and with Human Givens College in London, UK.

A meditator since my twenties, I decided to inform my artistic career and my art-therapies interventions to the principles of non-judgement, self-acceptance and kindness that I had learned on the cushion: I am a Mindful Educator trained by Mindful Schools and a Shamatha Vipashyana teacher trained by Susan Piver and Jenna Hohellenstein at the Open Heart Project.

Today I work in person and online offering storytellings in English and Italian, art-therapy and mindfulness sessions for kids and families, meditation classes and one-to-one sessions.

This year I published my first book in Italy, and well: let’s hope the next one is coming out in English, too!

What I do

I offer one-to-one meditation sessions in English and Italian, for adults, teenagers and children with a grown-up.

My main areas of expertise are self-compassion, stress management and prevention of parental and caregiving burnout.

…wanna try?

As soon as Covid-19 hit Italy, I thought of some storytelling and mindful activities to help kids navigate all the emotions connected to pandemic.

Once upon a time there was a virus is my free workbook to help families thrive through these hard times: no mud, no lotus, they say, so let’s breathe through this together.

Meditate with me

One breath at a time is my one-to-one program for individuals or families who need a safe and caring environment where they can process their emotions through mindfulness meditation.

Tell me about mindfulness is my series of workshops for groups of families: you name a challenging emotion and I have all the stories and mindful games to help you make friends with it.
